Most people think that the cut of a diamond refers to it's shape. Sometimes they are so fragile as to create cascading earring designs, and at other times they are so thick that you can set stones and other materials into them. Hoop earrings used to be a favorite jewelry style among ancient Central and South American tribes, at a time when gold flowed freely and primarily held only decorative value.
Explanation of Cut, Color and Clarity of This Diamond
Cut Quality Diamonds of premium cut are almost as good as ideal. While nature determines the color and clarity of a stone, diamond cut is dependent solely upon the skill of the cutter. Premium cut diamonds may be close to the ideal cut proportions and look just identical. Most people cannot distinguish between the two. However, there is a slight difference in quality and reduction in price over ideal cut diamonds.
Color Diamonds of F color are very close to colorless. Very small percentage of natural diamonds fall into this category. Even a trained professional will not be able to detect presence of color without instrumentation.
Clarity SI1 clarity diamonds are slightly included. SI1 diamonds have some inclusions visible under 10x magnification but not easily visible to the naked eye. A diamond with this grade of clarity is an excellent choice for someone on a limited budget.
