Moissanite, however, has a thermal conductivity that is very close to diamond. One of the most popular designs of those times were the very large heavy pendant type earrings called girandoles which were great favourites of Queen Victoria. These earrings required a substantial amount of precious metals and gemstones and so were very heavy, which meant that most people that wore them suffered from elongated earlobes.
Explanation of Cut, Color and Clarity of This Diamond
Cut Quality Diamonds with good cut still have very good proportions and will reflect large percentage of incoming light. Good cut diamonds still have excellent brilliance and fire. This grade represents an excellent balance between quality and price.
Color Slight presence of color may be detected in F color graded diamonds by an expert gemologist. The diamonds of this grade are considered colorless. Great choice for the purist. Look for a fluorescence rating of faint, inert, none, or negligible.
Clarity Diamonds of SI1 clarity are slightly included grade one. Inclusions in SI1 diamonds are easily identified through a strong loupe. Finding flaws in this category with the naked eye is difficult. The diamonds in this category maintain their integrity, depending on the location of the inclusions.
